The number of trademark applications in 2010 reached to 1.03 million till December 9, 2010 in China, which was the record high and the top of the world in the consecutive ninth year. In China, the number of trademark applications accumulated to 8.21 million, registration 5.54 million and valid registration 4.48 million Gao Rui, the general secretary of WIPO highly praised CTMO, he said, CTMO is the largest trademark office in the world and doing very well on handling backlog of trademark applications.
      Till the end of 2010, the period of trademark examination speeded up to 1-1.5 years, which it had been taken 3 years before. This is the landmark of China trademark work.
