The China Patent Award, co-organized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), is a government department award that rewards inventions-creations that have been granted patents, and is recognized by the WIPO.

On July 14, the CNIPA announced the decision of the 21st China Patent Award. 30 invention and utility model patents won the China Patent Gold Award, and 10 design patents won the China Design Gold Award. 696 invention and utility model patents won the China Patent Excellence Award, and 60 design patents won the China Design Excellence Award.

The patents represented by TDIP won 1 China Patent Gold Award and 3 China Patent Excellence Awards in this selection.

Each patent award is the crystallization of wisdom of the inventor and the applicant, the embodiment of the professionalism of the TDIP, and the recognition of the drafting quality of the TDIP. Among these awards, we have to mention the dazzling China Patent Gold Award patent. This patent was handled by Kaining ZHANG's team. During the prosecution progress of this patent, four Office Actions were issued by the CNIPA, and three of them related to the issues of inventiveness. It was extremely difficult to respond to the Office Action each time. But Kaining ZHANG's team never had the slightest thought of giving up, repeatedly studied the Office Actions and the cited prior art references and communicated with inventors for many times to find the best responding strategy. The hard work paid off, and this patent was finally granted. The rights and interests of the client was successfully protected and the patent also has become a classic in the 21st China Patent Awards.
